The history:

Under the guidance of Michel Preud’homme, Standard finished fifth in the regular season. In the group stage of the Europa League, Standard ended in third place behind Frankfurt and Arsenal. Mpoku is a youth product of Standard and became a club icon. He left the club in 2016 but returned in 2017 and became the team captain.
