The shirt:
Homeshirt from PSV as used in the 1996/97 season. Club crest and Nike logo are embroidered, while the Philips sponsor is printed in the fabric. Size label is missing but it fits as XL.
The history:
PSV finished in second place in the league, behind champions Ajax. The team won the Dutch Cup and reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League, where they were eliminated by Barcelona. Key players included Nilis, Cocu, Zenden, Stam, etc. Ronaldo played his second season for PSV but only played 13 games due to injuries. After that season he moved to Barcelona.
