The history:
In the 1989/90 season, Club Brugge became Belgian league champions, finishing four points ahead of second-place RSC Anderlecht. The team, led by coach Georges Leekens, was boosted by Frank Farina, who scored 24 goals that season. Other key players included Staelens, Janevski, Querter, Borkelmans, Van der Elst, Ceulemans, Booy, Brylle, etc.
